Sink Hole and Flooding – Seeking Compensation for Ryde!

Action demanded as collapsed sewage pipe and flooding brings misery to islanders | ITV News Meridian

Tuesday saw leaked sewage onto Appley Beach and the water according to the Environment Agency became unsafe for swimming. I was filmed by ITV showing the sink hole and highlighting the issue. The beautiful Appley Beach has suffered the eyesore of pipes and repair work for months now with no end date in sight from Southern Water. The flash flooding of houses in Ryde where sewage was coming back into homes is disgraceful and I am calling for compensation from Southern Water and a programme to fit all homes at risk with No Return Valves to protect them in the future.
