Ward Meeting this Thursday 5th May 2022 at 7pm at St. John’s Church Hall

I had to cancel the last meeting due to be away on holiday, so there is much to catch up on in the Ward.

West Acre Park – the saga rolls on and the recall by Cllr Jarman was unsuccessful and now the Judicial Review route is being pursued by local residents. See links:

Westridge Farm: Parish council donate £750 to judicial review crowdfunder (onthewight.com)

Victoria Crescent Depot – I am following up with the Executor’s of the late owner’s Will and talking to Planning Officers so hope to report back.

Appley Park and Beach – Southern Water has finished the Appley Park end which is now fully open and lots to discuss. Appley Day on 2nd July 2022

Bus up East Hill – Residents have approached me about a campaign to get a bus reinstated up the Hill

Canoe Lake and Splash Park – In discussion with Cllr Lisa Carter about the future of Canoe Lake and Splash Park

Pennyfeathers – The current variation and full plans for Pennyfeathers are in consultation and will be going to IWC Planning Committee in the Autumn of 2022. Pennyfeathers is in the neighbouring Ward and I know many of you have views and attended the recent RTC meeting at Garfield Hall.

Puckpool/ 50 houses – This is likely to go to Planning Committee in the near future. I can give an update.

Jubille Events – At present I know of only 3 possible events in the Ward and good to know if anyone have other plans so I can support. The possible three I know are Gassicott Green, High Park Tavern, and Appley Park.

St. John’s Wood/Park – A working group is being set up by RTC and need to know who is interested and get your views.

Newsletter – I am trying hard to get a Newsletter out in Mid/End of May but do need some support.

Hope to see you on Thursday.
