Notification – Alexandra Road Footway Resurfacing

Island Roads are writing to inform local residents of the forthcoming footway works due to take place in your local area shortly and to provide you with some information and guidance about what will happen during the works to enable you to plan accordingly. Island Roads will continue to follow several new operating procedures in order to comply with the Governments’ latest guidance on social distancing as these essential highway improvement works are undertaken. Therefore, we request you respect the safety of all Island Roads workforce by keeping a safe distance from both operatives and work sites.

Should you have any questions, the Island Roads Help Desk is contactable on 01983 822440 or info@islandroads.com. What does this mean to you? As part of the PFI contract we will be surfacing the footways in your area. This work will be undertaken in two phases.

· The first phase will be essential preparatory works to include kerbing and excavation of footway where necessary.

· The second phase will be the surfacing of the footways. Key information about this work:

Location of works: · Alexandra Road, Ryde – From the junction with – Gassiot Green Road to St Johns Hill

Estimated date of works: · Monday 17/01/2022

Estimated duration of

works: · 5 days (Monday to Friday)

Time of works: · 07:30 – 17:00

Safety measures during

works: · Multi Way Signals · Parking Restrictions · Some parts of the footpath maybe closed during the works.
