Deckchairs on Ryde Beach!

July 25, 2021

In 2019, I pushed for Ryde Town Council to put deckchairs and other beach equipment back on Ryde Beaches and develop income generating other than reliance on the annual precept. Last year with Covid19, it was not possible but now they are here and from next weekend will there throughout the Summer.

There is a cabin on Ryde Harbour and a range of equipment to hire from Kayaks to paddleboards, sun loungers to deckchairs to parasols. RTC is also supporting busking around the Town, the flower beds never looked so lovely, and new shops and eateries are opening. The Beach Festival yesterday on Appley Beach was amazing. The Town is buzzing. RTC has a Business Development Manager in place and is at the forefront of leading with others in the Town in getting Ryde’s recovery after Covid19 in full swing.
